JDU MLA N.Sanate repose trust in Biren’s leadership
Imphal: Various leaders of Hmar community led by Tipaimukh MLA Ngursanglur Sanate felicitated and congratulated Chief Minister N. Biren Singh on his second term as Chief Minister of the State at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, on Thursday.
The leaders from Hmar Inpui, Hmar Women’s Association, Hmar Students’ Association, and Hmar Artistes Association among others also submitted a letter of appreciation to the Chief Minister to show the community’s trust in the Chief Minister’s leadership. The leaders pledged support to the government’s War on Drugs’ campaign and declared to ban poppy cultivation in Hmar inhabited areas.
They also pledged their support to the government, saying that the Hmar community is a peace loving community and will always stand for development of the State.
While expressing happiness for placing their trust on the present government, Chief Minister Biren urged all to focus only on development. The community leaders also placed their issues before the Chief Minister who assured to look into it. The organisations also gifted presents to the Chief Minister as a show of confidence to the Chief Minister.
