Miss Julina Pinggam and Gyamar Apa Won India Pop Culture Competition now both represent India

Miss Juliana Pinggam from Shi Yomi District and Gyamar Apa from Kurung Kumey District became the winner of the India Pop Culture Competition recently held in DK Convention Hall Itanagar, organized by Flying Monals in associate with Cosplay Conversation Itanagar, AIMP-Association of India Fans for Manga and Anime and Pop Culture.

Both will represent India at World Pop Culture Competition in Hiroshima-2023 in Japan, from October 14-15 2024.

Juliana is First year BA student in Shillong, while Gyamar Apa also a Graduate students from Shillong College.

National Level Event in Hiroshima

Pop Culture Hiroshima Hiroshima hop Pop Culture Hiroshima is an annual international cosplay event, which promotes (Culture global interaction through Japanese pop culture. Countries from all over the world send their representatives to present their country to take part in the competition. Each year, national preliminary held in different part of India, and this year the host was Arunachal Pradesh, where duo cosplayers from all over the country to compete for the place to be Indian representative at PCH. Cosplay portmanteau of “costume play”, is an activity and performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character
